This past summer, my husband and I went to Kansas for his cousin's wedding. I was asked to make the wedding cake. This was a little intimidating for me considering I had never done one before. I also had never made anything higher than a 3-tier. It was a lot of fun to make, and I made all the Lily's with a lot of help from my Mother! (THANK YOU!) The topper was also handmade. Everyone seemed to love the cake. Last minute I decided to add a lil "bling" to it and I think it really made the flowers pop!

Minecraft
This year, I was asked to make a Minecraft themed cake. This was yet another challenge for me, considering I had never heard of it prior to this either! At least doing these birthday cakes is keeping me up with what is "hip" with the kiddos. hehe. The little green man, TNT barrels, sign, and girl were all handmade from gumpaste. The letters and numbers were created with cookie cutters, and as painful as it is - YES all those little squares were indivudal cut (also with a cookie cutter). Want to take a guess how many there are? (1,044 - Yes I counted.) She really seemed to love it!

Monster High
I was approached by a father who wanted a Monster High cake for his daughters birthday. This was a challenge for me due to the fact that I do not have children, and had absolutely no idea what Monster High was. After looking at a lot of pictures and doing my "research" this is what I came up with. She really loved both the cakes and the cake pops.
The logos were hand made with gum paste. Yes it took a while! The diamond pattern was cut using the cricut cake.

Photographer Themed Cupcakes
I apologize for almost a year long absence! I am a student, and do not always have the time or energy to create things unless it is for a specific event. About a year ago, my photographer friend held a booth at a church bazarre in order to attract customers. She has asked me to make cupcakes to display using her company colors. Between the two of us - this was our final design. I had a lot of fun working with all these elements and people seemed to really enjoy them!

A&M Ring Cake
My best friend is graduating from A&M, and they do this tradition with their ring called a Ring Dunk (I had never heard of this before) - Basically what happens is once they recieve their class ring it's tradition to drop the ring in a pitcher of whatever drink, beer is usually the most common drink of choice, and you chug it to get the ring at the bottom.
Well for this event my friend had asked me to make a cake for about 65 people. After a lot of researching, I came up with the pic below. The cake was covered in Marshmallow fondant, and decorated with Maroon Buttercream Frosting (What a hard color to make!) I cut the different sized circles out of gumpaste that I colored Maroon and put them on the sides of the cake. Overall every one LOVED it!

Under the Sea
I recently purchased the Wilton "Sea Life Designs" Mold, and decided to experiment with it. After a lot of hard work, long hours, and dedication - this was the final result! I LOVE the way it came out. The bottom tier was a double chocolate chip cake with a chocolate mousse filling, and the top tier was a very strawberry cake also with chocolate mousse filling. Yum!
Thanks for looking!

CupCakes
The first two pictures are pictures of cupcake cakes - The golf cupcakes were for a friend of mine's husband's birthday. He is really into golf, so I got this idea from a book and thought it turned out adorable! The race car was also inspired out of a book, and that wasn't created for any specific event.
